The Fraser Valley is home to some of the Lower Mainland’s top attractions for families, history enthusiasts and outdoor adventurers. From a historic trading post to interactive water parks and seasonal farm festivals, there’s something for everyone.

Below are some of the best places for kids and their families in the Fraser Valley. Many of these destinations host special events throughout the year, making them great stops for a day trip or weekend getaway.
Fort Langley Historic Site
Fort Langley Historic Site is a reconstructed Hudson’s Bay Company trading post and one of the region’s most popular family-friendly destinations.
Visitors can explore a few original structures, numerous artifacts, and educational exhibits that showcase life in early British Columbia. The fort is located in the charming town of Fort Langley and hosts a variety of events throughout the year.
Kilby Historic Site & Campground
Kilby Historic Site, run by the Fraser Heritage Society, is a heritage farm and museum located in Harrison Mills. The farm dates back to the early 1900s and offers visitors a glimpse into the region’s agricultural history.
While the historic buildings and exhibits open seasonally from Easter weekend through the fall, the Kilby Park & Campground is open year-round. The farm is just over an hour from Vancouver, making it an ideal spot for a day trip or weekend stay.
Greendale Acres
Greendale Acres is a family-friendly farm in the Fraser Valley that hosts a variety of seasonal events and attractions. It’s an amazing place for kids and young families. Event highlights include the Sweet Spring Flower Festival in spring, the Chilliwack Corn Maze in late summer and autumn, and other events such as its Easter celebrations, Chilliwack Plowing Match, and Chilliwack Corn Festival.
The farm offers hands-on activities with farm animals, making it a fun and educational destination for children.
Greendale Acres is open on select days in spring and returns in August for the corn maze season which runs until the end of October. Private rentals and special events are also available.
Fantasy Farms
Fantasy Farms, located in Chilliwack, is a working farm that hosts seasonal events at various times of the year. Annual highlights include Petey’s Easter Eggstravaganza, A Night of Illumination, the Stinking Rose Garlic Festival, Petey’s Pumpkin Patch, and Reaper’s Maze of Terror.
The farm features attractions such as farm animals, an outdoor miniature train and an indoor play area, along with beloved characters like Petey the pumpkin and Farmer Gary. Fantasy Farms is a popular destination for families looking to enjoy seasonal festivities and farm life experiences.
Harrison Water Park
Harrison Water Park is a floating adventure park on Harrison Lake, filled with inflatable rafts, slides, swings, trampolines, and other apparatuses to climb and jump from. Highlights include giant floating balls, a massive inflatable teeter-totter, and a “blob” that lets you launch friends into the water. Life jackets are provided for safety and warmth, and lifeguards supervise the park at all times.
The park is suitable for children ages six and up, with those between six and ten requiring adult supervision. It’s an exciting destination for anyone who enjoys water play and adventure.
